Generators

Installing a home generator is a valuable investment, especially for ensuring uninterrupted power during outages.

We will guide you through the process:

  • We will help choosing the Right Generator Type:

    • There are two main types of home generators:

      • Portable Generators: These are versatile and can power specific appliances or circuits during emergencies. They require manual setup and fueling.

      • Standby Generators: These are permanently installed and automatically switch on when the power goes out. They provide whole-house coverage and run on natural gas or propane.

  • We will help you select the Location:

    • Standby Generators: Install the generator at least 5 feet away from all windows and doors to prevent exhaust fumes from entering your home.

    • Generators must be set concrete pad supported by a compacted gravel bed.

  • Electrical Connections:

    • We will:

      • Install an automatic transfer switch that seamlessly switches between utility power and generator power during outages.

      • Ensure proper wiring and grounding.

  • Gas Line Installation (if using natural gas):

    • If your generator runs on natural gas, a plumber will connect a gas line from your meter to the generator.

    • We will coordinate the installation process.

    • Proper installation ensures safe and efficient fuel supply.

    • We will test run the generator

We will help assess your power needs, budget, and we know the local regulations for choosing the right generator for your home! 🏠🔌💡
